Three more energy suppliers have gone bust today, Wednesday September 29th. Igloo Energy with 179,000 customers, ENSTROGA with 6,000 customers, and Symbio Energy with 48,000 customers.

OFGEM will allocate new suppliers for all affected customers can be assured there will be no effect on their supplies and transfer to another supplier will still be within the price cap recently uplifted so may be more than they are paying currently.

Earlier today Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng tweeted:

I can confirm the government's Reserve Tanker Fleet will be on the road this afternoon to boost deliveries of fuel to forecourts across Britain.

The trucks are driven by civilians and will provide additional logistical capacity to the fuel industry

We are now seeing signs that the situation at the pumps has begun to improve with more stations getting more fuel.

The sooner we can all return to our normal buying habits, the sooner the situation will return to normal
Additionally Army personnel are getting ready to assist the current crisis.

Kwasi Kwarteng said:

Anyone versed in military defence issues knows that it takes a couple of days, sometimes a few days, to get troops on the ground.

We have decided to do that. I think, in the next couple of days, people will see some soldiers driving the tanker fleet.
